Bio

I'm a young creative based in Manchester who specialises in writing, directing and producing for film and theatre. After graduating from the University of Salford with a BA (Hons) in Film Production, I've been fortunate to develop and exercise my skills, having worked on a number of student short films as a writer, director and producer.

I have an active interest in creating experimental, surrealist material which delves into topical issues that allows audiences to think deeply. I have a unique writing style with a large focus involving women's rights, minorities, relationships and dreams. As a director, I work closely with actors to draw out unique, exciting performances within my work, being influenced by old and new practitioners, in addition to the depiction of relationships, blurring lines between naturalism and surrealism through this.

In 2023, I directed a production of Henrik Ibsen's 'A Doll's House' with the Almost Famous Theatre Company that ran for 3 nights. I am also currently finishing a one act play with the hopes to develop and showcase by the end of next year.

I also thoroughly enjoy academic writing and the study of films, theatre, media, and stardom. A large interest of mine through my studies has been Star Theory, The Studio System of Golden Age Hollywood, Gender Issues, Hollywood Masculinities and Auteur Theory. I am also highly interested at digital marketing and film marketing, distribution and exhibition.
